Leopold

Leopold grasped Sophia’s hand and guided her to a chair. “We have a short trip before we reach Atlantis. I recommend we use this time to our advantage because life will change once we reach home.”

“How?” Sophia went willingly with Leopold.

He pulled out a chair for her and waited for her to sit. “Everyone will want a peek at the woman who caught our attention.”

Sinner set a plate in front of her and she peered at the offering. “I would like to have you modified when we arrive in Atlantis.”

That request drew her attention away from the food. Frowning at Sinner, she placed her hands in her lap and her spine went straight. “Modified how? Why?”

Her posture felt tight to Leopold, and he sensed she entered a defensive mode. Being rejected by society would keep a person on guard. “It’s not what you think, love.”

“I guess we’ll see.” She leaned into her chair, holding Sinner’s gaze. “Explain.”

Sinner smiled. “Normally I’d say something about people wrongly assuming they can boss me around, but it’s sexy coming from you.”

Sophia didn’t break a smile.

“We love you just how you are.” Trench sat next to Sinner across the table from Leopold and Sophia.

“The modification is to protect you.” Sinner poured her a glass of leviathan wine. “We’ll always be honest with you, Sophia. Never doubt that you’re important to us, that we love you the way you are.”

“It’s too soon to toss around the L word,” she said, her posture unbreaking.

“No, but I already like you.” Sinner set the wine bottle aside. “When you’re with us, we’ll want you just like you are.”

“Except naked. I always prefer naked.”

“Trench, you’re hung up on that.” Leopold winked at his husband before sliding his gaze to Sophia. “But for the record, I always prefer naked too.”

An amused twitch ghosted her lips. “I expect the same from you guys. If I’m naked, you’re naked.”

“That’ll be my pleasure.” Trench toasted her with his whiskalian glass and sipped the hard liquor while holding her gaze.

Smooth bastard. That’s one of the reasons Leopold loved him. Trench could break bones with little effort, but he could sweet talk a woman into his bed with blunt honesty.

“I want you protected with a vanity chip. That’s what I meant by modification.” Sinner shook his head and rolled his eyes at Trench. “As ironic as it sounds, even though Trench plans to fuck you to death, your safety is our primary goal.”

“A man has to have ambition, Sinner.” Trench swirled the purple spirits in his glass.

“Trench, you win the prize of being the first to fuck me.” Sophia shocked Leopold with that and his drink went down wrong. Choking on his drink, he coughed to get his breath back.

Trench grinned like a man who would devour her. “Yes, I will.”

“Fucking hell.” Sinner downed his liquor. “Damn sure not the virgin I thought you were.”

“Does that disappoint you?” She glanced between the food and Sinner.

“Hell no.” Sinner made a face. “Tell me what you have experience with.
